Thirty-plus years in the creative industry and no design degree to show for it — I dropped out of Media Arts college early on and built the career anyway. I'm a New Zealander with British and American citizenship, and my work spans apparel, fintech, financial services, philanthropy, transit, and AI.
Colleagues come to me when a brief has stalled, a stakeholder needs convincing, or an idea needs someone willing to push it past the safe version. I thrive on tackling challenging creative briefs and uncovering unique solutions.
My 18 years at an international financial services/media company taught me to navigate established brand systems while discovering gaps that inspire boundary-pushing creativity. Equally, my experience at startups during significant growth allowed me to analyze what worked within their brand systems and redefine those elements for greater consistency and dynamism.
Over the past 15 years, I have concentrated on creative leadership, helping build energetic and thoughtful teams prioritizing human-centered design. I value giving my designers the autonomy to explore their creativity while driving toward producing the best work for our brands and/or specific project briefs.
When I'm not working, I am a busy mom who enjoys working out, DIY interior design, knitting (amongst other crafts), dining with friends, and traveling.
I'm open to both freelance projects and full-time creative leadership roles.
